Experience

Wyze, Kirkland, WA
Senior Product Designer
May 2022 - August 2023
At Wyze, I am the lead designer working on our in-app camera experiences. My main focus is to create a more unified experience across our various product pages of our camera devices. To do this I am building out a design system that is flexible enough to evolve with our everchanging devices while creating and maintaining an improved user experience. An essential part of this effort is working and aligning with our mobile engineers to create an SDK so the whole system is available to and useful for both designers and engineers across the company.

Unearth Technologies, Seattle, WA
Senior Product Designer
March 2019 – October 2021
I was responsible for the overall design of our mobile apps on both iOS and Android platforms. Unearth is a next-generation GIS tool that improves the workflows of our users, who are field workers of the built world industries, to better capture, visualize, and share geo-located data to create a better digital representation of the physical world. I helped bring the user’s voice and perspective to the table when collaborating with the engineering and business teams to ensure we building the best product we can for our users.

Alaska Airlines, SeaTac, WA
Senior Product Designer
February 2016 - February 2019 / December 2021 - April 2022
Here, I focused on enterprise mobile solutions for both various airline operations teams as well as employee benefits tools. As the first designer hired specifically to work on enterprise mobile apps, I led the charge on various teams in design thinking practices to help bring the perspective of the users to the forefront of the products themselves. I worked with engineers to better understand feasibility constraints, with stakeholders to understand business goals, and with various employees at the airports to better understand the larger system both they and their tools must functions within. I then pulled all of these perspectives together into the best mobile solutions given the set parameters at the time.

UpTop, Seattle, WA
UX Designer
February 2015 – February 2016

While at UpTop I had the opportunity to work with a variety of clients such as Amazon Fresh, VUDU, Quorum, and Airbiquity. Each client’s needs were different and needed different levels of UX solutions created. With all clients, my first step was to learn as much about the problem space as possible before diving into sketching out information architecture maps and user flows. From there I would rapidly iterate and increase the fidelity of the designs until the final designs were delivered to the clients.

Big Fish Games, Seattle, WA
UX/UI Designer
October 2012 – February 2015
As part of the team of other designers and content strategist, we worked directly with project managers, developers, and engineers to create the companies e-commerce products to enable game distribution to our customers. I designed wireframes and prototypes that were then tested with users to help refine the solutions. The designs were then handed over to developers, who I’d then work with to ensure the final implementations met all expectations.
